Sowing Confusion: The Newton for Everyone PAC and the Newton Teacher’s Strike

Statement on the latest misleading use of our name:

Newton for Everyone is a coalition of civic, housing, climate activists, clergy, and local businesses who organized to support more housing in villages and near transit. A group that calls itself Newton Needs Change is once again using the account of the Newton for Everyone PAC to send emails out across the city writing at length about the strike.

When the Newton for Everyone PAC was formed, they used our name purposely to cause confusion and mislead people during the city council elections in the fall, as previously reported the Fig City News and The Newton Beacon. 

The original Newton for Everyone objects to the continued misleading use of our name. We have not taken a position on the strike except that we hope that it will be resolved as soon as possible for the sake of our children.
